Nutrition and Fertility (Talk Summary)

The dictionary definition of fertility is the natural capability to produce offspring. A lack of fertility is called infertility, which is a term also used to describe abnormal functioning of the male or female reproductive system. It is important to realize that infertility is not a final diagnosis. Sterility is. I have worked with many, many couples that have come onto my path with the infertile diagnosis and as many as 97% ended up conceiving, having healthy pregnancies and birthing healthy babies.

I hope to demystify and clarify some ideas surrounding both fertility and infertility. Fertility is both simple and really complicated because it is dependant on many factors, which are not always present or in balance for every couple, but fertility is a natural condition that our species strives for; without it we would not survive. My focus in this talk will be on holistic health rather than on pathology and how we can achieve this optimum condition.

My goals are to help you optimize your chances of conceiving spontaneously while in optimal health. After listening to my talk you will understand how and why to detox, what to eat and not to eat, which herbs and therapies to use, how to find balance in your emotional state and when to have sex to reach this desired result.

In looking at achieving optimal fertility I will touch on the various conditions that attribute to infertility and what the options are for solving some of these conditions in order to achieve fertility.

Here are the subjects I will cover:

  1. How to approach a possible pregnancy with optimal health and optimized fertility for a good start to pregnancy and the future health of both parents and the future health of their child.
  2. How to tackle some of the specific conditions known to effect fertility.
  3. How to tackle unexplained fertility.
  4. What the options are for repeated miscarriage.
  5. What kind of Complimentary and Alternative support is useful when having medically assisted fertility treatments?
